GIS Education Center

This workshop builds on skills covered in Python (Beginner) and is also suitable for students with previous background in Python. Instructor Gregg Verutes, Data Scientist and Geographer, will focus on how to use simple Python code to interact with the ArcGIS mapping platform. The first meeting will provide a Python primer that sets the foundation for subsequent two meetings. Students will learn to write code that automates decision making and iteration routines with GIS data (tables, shapefiles, etc.) and based on real-world examples.
